I teach fourth grade science to a group of 25 students in a rural school.
I am requesting your assistance due to budget cuts in the school district. My school district is unable to purchase the weather kit for my classroom.
I am requesting a class weather kit. The kit includes enough materials for 30 students to observe and record the daily weather. The kit also includes material to make several weather instruments. With a weather kit my students will have instruments to measure and record the temperature, wind direction, wind speed, and air pressure.
Your help will make it possible for my students to experience hands-on activities when predicting, measuring, and recording weather conditions. The hands-on activities will give my students concrete experiences when dealing with the weather around them.
