Marvelous Mathematical Minds

My students need 2 sets of attribute blocks to explore shapes with a hands-on experience, a class set of 25 calculators so each individual student can explore counting and using calculators, 2 sets of 400 pieces of color counters to explore counting through a hands-on, visual experience, 2 sets of 1000 craft sticks to explore counting in groups with a hands-on,visual experience, a 2 set of base 10 starter sets to learn place value in small groups with a hands-on, visual experience, 1 classroom number line display to learn how to use a number line, 2 sets of blank dice to explore intorductory probability problems in small groups through a hands-on experience, 3 sets of 2 set polyhedral dice to explore in small groups higher-level thinking probability problems with a hands-on experience, 1 set of dotted dice to explore basic probability problems in small groups through a hands-on experience, 10 metersticks to explore in pairs measuring objects using the meteric system, 15 retractable tape measures to explore measuring larger items in groups and pairs, 2 sets of large geometric shapes to explore the names and attributes of geometric shapes in small groups through a hands-on, visual experience.

This project is fully funded

Students in need of Math manipulatives to learn in hands-on, visual experiences! I teach 1st grade in an elementray school in Kentucky. This school is an independent city school system that does receive funding from the state. A lot of our students are in high-need situations.

Our funding for Math supplies has been cut dramatically this year. We do not have enough funding to provide manipulatives for our students. My classroom is lacking half of the manipulatives needed for our Math program. Manipulatives provide students an opportunity to visualize and learn Math skills through hands-on experiences. These hands-on experiences cannot be replaced! They get students excited about learning and help make abstract Math skills understandable to 1st grade minds.

My class is in desperate need of attribute blocks, base 10 blocks, calculators, counters, counting sticks, die (blank, dotted, and polyhedral), metersticks, retractable tape measures, and 3-D geometric shapes. We need these manipulatives to complete our classroom supplies for our Math program. Without these supplies students are left confused about Math concepts. With these supplies my students will conquer their Math skill fears and truly understand Math concepts and skills. Let's give my students the supplies they need to succeed! Please help power my students up with the materials they need to learn!

Your help will open up a new world of Mathematics for my students! A world of hands-on experiences that can make a difference in my students understanding a concept or being left a little confused. You will make it possible for all my students to achieve unbelievable Math scores and understanding!
