Help me give my students activities that will strengthen the skills needed in multiplication, division and fractions that are covered in the Grab Match Leveled Math Quickies and Dominoes.
As a math teacher for 3rd and 4th graders, understanding multiplication, division and the usage of fractions is a vital part of the learning process to prepare for 5th grade . Any extra encouragement and practice builds good mathematicians.
My desire as a teacher is to give every single student the ability to be successful.
Math skills build knowledge and knowledge builds confidence. Confidence builds success. When math becomes fun, students develop good feelings toward learning more.
By using the Grab Match and Dominoes activities, I hope to instill the joy of becoming math-magicians as students review and excel. As they see the magic of numbers and strategies coming together, their knowledge and confidence can grow by leaps and bounds. The activities will be used in small groups and individually.
