it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Math manipulatives are the key to making math magical. My students love math and really learn best when they have hands-on materials to help them learn. Hands-on learning is important to help students learn and retain math skills.
Hands-on manipulatives allow students to achieve success while showing their thinking as they learn new skills.
Using manipulatives helps students engage in the problem-solving process by seeing their thinking which keeps them active in the learning process. The Giant Magnetic Geometric Shapes provide concrete practice with everything from identifying and composing shapes to partitioning shapes into quarters, halves, and more! The Classroom Magnetic Numbers Operations Kit will allow students to grow their math knowledge by practicing number identification, one-to-one correspondence, and solving addition and subtraction equations. Students who develop a strong math foundation at a young age will become strong math leaders in their community now and in the future.
