My Students

My students start school each day with joy and excitement for learning. They rush into the class to see what fun activities await. I do my best to make educational activities both fun and engaging at the same time!

My students are amazing!

They attend our Title One school and speak various languages from around the world. Many of my students are immigrants from Russia, Somalia, Ethiopia, Mexico, and various other places. Kindergarten is often the first time that many of my students begin their formal education. I have to blend my teaching with fun so that students feel like they are playing, but are actually working on challenging educational activities.

My Project

My students will enter the room and work on magnetic maze puzzles during free choice time. They will practice writing letters, sorting shapes, counting numbers, and more! Students will not loose puzzle pieces because of the high-quality products that I am requesting. The plastic covers on each of the puzzles keeps all of the pieces intact. I anticipate my students eagerly sitting down at a table and choosing a puzzle to play. They will learn how to take turns with materials, and how to stay focused with a learning activity. My students will also use a mobile storage center to organize their school work and home-to-school folders. They will use the organization station on a daily basis to build consistent classroom routines and self-manage their belongings.

This donation will help teach my students how to write letters and numbers by tracing with a magnetic pen.

Students will learn how to count and sort, spell words, and manage materials. My students will build confidence as they gain independence in the classroom. I know that learning routines will help them become successful and build a solid educational foundation.
