Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are creative and have a strong desire to learn through real-world experiences. Many of them have a desire to become business owners and want to learn how to use some of the tools and techniques they will need in the business world.
My Project
This colored printer will give students the opportunity to create marketing materials for business classes and advertise event throughout the school.
In the business courses I teach, students are given the opportunity to develop real-world marketing skills by designing advertisements such as flyers, brochures, billboards, and posters.
These assignments are valuable learning opportunities for students, however, students are currently only able to publish their designs digitally. I want to give students the opportunity to create physical versions of their advertisements to display.
I am also the advisor for the Ben Lomond chapter of Future Business Leaders of America. Part of our responsibilities is to assist in advertising events happening at our school. This printer will provide us with a tool to print high-quality color posters that will increase awareness and engagement in school activities.
