Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
A typical day in our class is always a fun one! We welcome our students in the morning with a bright welcoming morning message. From there we follow our regular morning routines sharing our mood and our expectations for the day.
Our 3rd grade ICT class is full of wonderful personalities.
We have students who range from coming to school knowing little to no English to those who travel miles on the subway just to get here. Our school environment is very close knit and encouraging.
My Project
We are asking for dry erase markers, Mr. Sketch markers and Post it notes. These materials will keep our classroom fun and vibrant. The dry erase wall will be used to put up our fun and student friendly teaching points. Our teaching points let the students know where a lesson is going and what they will be able to do at the end of the less. The markers we asked for are going to be used to continue the upkeep of our fun vibrantly colored classroom with interactive anchor charts and student made work. We also like to keep things clean in here so the erasers and dry erase wipes will be great. Finally our post-its will help us keep track of our close reading questions we answer during independent reading.
This project will make a difference because we have students in our class with various special needs.
Being able to turn our unused chalkboard into an interactive white board would mean the world to our kids. They would be able to come up and write their thoughts along with using the color dry erase markers to color code their thinking. The post its with lines would help us stay organized during our reading.
