My Project

I have the privilege of teaching a group of third-grade students who come from military families—100% of them have a parent who serves in the armed forces. This means that many of my students experience single-parent households and frequent moves, which makes it challenging for them to build lasting friendships and consistently master academic fundamentals. Despite these challenges, my students are enthusiastic, resilient, and ready to take on the adventures of third grade.

As a Title I school, we are always looking for ways to give our students the resources they need to succeed.

I am hoping to provide these students with high-quality markers and water bottles to help them stay hydrated, engaged, and inspired throughout the school year.

Why These Supplies Matter:

Markers:

Markers are an essential tool for creative expression and academic learning. Students can use markers to create vibrant projects that bring abstract concepts to life. The ability to use markers will help students think critically and solve problems in new, creative ways. Art also fosters self-expression and helps students explore their individuality, which is especially important for students from military families who may face unique challenges.

Water Bottles:

Staying hydrated is key to staying focused and energized throughout the day. A personalized water bottle will encourage the students to drink water regularly, supporting both their health and academic performance. It also offers a sense of ownership and pride. By personalizing their bottles, students will have a fun, creative way to express themselves as well!

This project will make a lasting difference by encouraging my students to stay engaged and energized, while providing them with the opportunity to express their creativity. With your help, these students—who already show so much resilience and enthusiasm—will be equipped with the tools they need to succeed, both academically and personally.
