Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
What I love most about my students is how they express themselves in such honest, creative, and beautiful ways. Each of my students with autism brings a unique perspective to the classroom, and art is one of the most powerful tools we use to help them communicate, connect, and build confidence.
This project will provide vibrant markers and versatile vinyl art supplies that will support sensory-friendly, personalized art activities.
These materials allow my students to explore color, texture, and design in a way that feels safe and empowering. Whether it’s creating visual schedules, calming corner tools, personalized name tags, or expressive art pieces, each resource will help them develop fine motor skills, strengthen their creativity, and build a sense of pride in their work.
For many of my students, traditional academic tasks can be challenging, but art opens a door to learning that feels joyful and accessible. These vinyl art supplies will help transform our classroom into a space where every child feels seen, capable, and celebrated.
