This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

While I do I believe in the power of technology, I am passionate about paper and hands-on learning. As a speech-language pathologist, so much of what I do involves manipulatives and papers to best explain and practice concepts. With this, there is a requirement for writing tools for students to engage in this. Additionally, working with so many young children, color increases buy-in immediately, therefore creating a large drive for these types of items. Lastly, markers, crayons, and expo markers do not last forever, so these items need to be replaced every so often.

Markers and crayons are imperative to my students engagement in therapy sessions.
