Markers, Crayons, and Chairs! OH MY!

My students need the very best. Having two classes this year means that the two groups share many of their classroom supplies; it is time for a revamp! WE need crayons, markers, bean bags and more.

My Students

There is no sweeter sound than hearing your students say "This is fun!" Math is commonly a subject that students struggle with as they get older; fourth grade being an especially difficult year with subject matter. This school year I work with fourth grade students teaching Math, Science, and Social Studies.

I work in a rural school Title I school that serves students in grades 3-5.

Title I means that many of our students come from low income families. Our school and our community are very supportive of the education of our youth. It is not only our goal to make sure that students understand the subject matter, but to prepare them for a lifetime of learning and growing. We are "Anchored in Excellence."

My Project

Fourth grade is full of projects, experiments, explorations, and learning. In our classroom, we use all sorts of materials to help us investigate the world around us.

Having two classes of students is a blessing, but it's also hard work.

My students share many of their classroom supplies and with 48 of them, it can get busy! We are nearly halfway through the school year already (time really does fly). In our classroom, we love to use alternative seating, dry erase boards to show our thinking, and make posters after we've studied a topic.

These supplies will benefit our classroom by allowing my students different ways to express themselves and by letting them experience learning in a fun way.
