My students love to write, but our classroom is running short on supplies. First graders go through pencils and markers so fast that we can't keep up with them!
I teach First Grade at a charter school in a very low income district in New York.
Most of my students have free lunch and come from minority backgrounds. They have great imaginations and love to write and illustrate. They work incredibly hard and deserve every advantage we can give them.
My Project
First Graders do a lot of writing. We use pencils and markers for writing stories, solving Math problems, Science investigations, and Social Studies projects. Writing with stumpy pencils and dried-up markers is uninspiring. New writing implements will give a boost to our work in every subject.
These new pencils and markers will give new life to everything we write in our class.
With your help, my First Graders will continue to love learning and enjoy the amazing work they do every day.
