My Project
I love that my middle school students come to class full of energy, curiosity, and a growing sense of independence. They are eager to express themselves, collaborate with peers, and make real-world connections through reading. Many of them thrive with hands-on, engaging activities that go beyond traditional pencil-and-paper tasks.
The supplies in this project—colorful markers, cardstock, gel pens, notebooks, and folders—will help create interactive reading response kits that encourage creativity and collaboration.
The high-interest books I’ve selected offer mirrors and windows for students to explore identity, empathy, and diverse perspectives. Lamination tools and organizational supplies will help us reuse materials throughout the year, keeping our classroom vibrant and efficient. These resources will empower my students to respond to texts with confidence, work together in meaningful ways, and develop deeper reading comprehension skills in a fun and engaging environment.
