My Project
What I love most about my students is that each one is unique and special in their own way. They bring fun, diverse personalities and a wide range of talents to the classroom and beyond. As educators, one of our most important roles is to help students grow not just academically, but socially and emotionally—and that’s exactly what Mario Kart Club is designed to do.
Mario Kart Club provides students with a space where they can build friendships, strengthen social skills, and develop good sportsmanship—all while doing something they truly enjoy.
During the middle school years, students often face challenges with peer relationships, self-confidence, and emotional regulation. This club helps meet those needs in a creative and engaging way.
Through the fun and friendly competition of Mario Kart, students learn how to:
Communicate and collaborate with others in both casual and competitive settings
Handle wins and losses with maturity and respect
Build empathy and patience by playing with a wide range of peers
Practice positive reinforcement and encouragement, building each other up regardless of skill level
Develop a sense of belonging, which is crucial to their mental well-being and school engagement
In addition to fostering teamwork and emotional growth, the club also helps students discover shared interests, which often leads to new friendships and a stronger connection to the school community. It’s a safe and inclusive environment where every student can feel welcome.
