March Madness Classroom Transformation

Help me give my students supplies to transform our classroom for Math March Madness '24

My Project

No student wants to learn in a stale environment. I’m working hard to keep our middle school students engaged with a classroom transformation and a fun real-life experience. I want to make every effort to get students excited about learning mathematics.

A March Madness theme transformation will instantly pique the students’ interest.

The students will be using their problem-solving skills to solve real-life mathematical problems that relate to the proportional relations and percentages that align with the basketball theme. The table clothes with be used to cover the classroom desks and tables the students will be used as workstations.

Students will earn reward bracelets when exhibiting our four school character traits: community, leadership, collaboration, and perseverance.

A friendly challenge, using the Over the Door Basketball Hoop, will be incorporated as a brain break for teams to earn extra points by showing off their basketball skills.
