My Students

Imagine trying to teach 25 kindergarten students who all come from different backgrounds and experiences. In my years of teaching, I have learned to laugh and enjoy every minute of my day!

My students are fun, expressive children who come from all types of social and economic backgrounds.

They love games and anything that allows them to move. We are the only section of full day kindergarten at our school, so I have the opportunity to expand their academics by planning more in-depth activities.

My Project

These materials will be used for independent math stations as well as in my remediation group time. I need hands on, concrete materials to teach my students the additon and subtraction skills they need to be successful in their financial education.

These items will be used all year long and for many years to come!

I need the large Rekenrak to use during our whole group math instruction. We currently have a small group set of student rods, so this larger one will help me better serve those students during our small group instruction as well. The Busy Bee Subtraction Center, Magnetic Boards, Math Match Ups, and number stamps will be used during our math station partner work. These self-checking activities keep my students engaged and give me more time to work in smaller groups.
