My Students
My students are cheerful, curious, responsible, and kind - they are typical fourth-graders! They feel empowered to make great things happen.
Our school is located in a vibrant, urban neighborhood.
Most students have worked together as classmates since kindergarten and have formed into a true community of learners. This 50's-era building is full of happy inquiries into the world outside these walls.
My Project
My students will use these Chromebooks to conduct research, to take notes, and to type their work for publication. I envision my students picking up and using these tools just as they would any other classroom tool - as needed, when needed, and without limitation. Tabletop easel pads will be great for my students to learn with throughout the year.
My students are well-supported by their families and the neighborhood community, but the fact is that we do not have enough money to provide classrooms with enough laptops unless we ask for help from a wider support base!
