March Book Madness: Nonfiction Style

Help me give my students nonfiction books to use for a March Book Madness school wide event.

My Project

The last two years my school has participated in a March Book Madness event. We had growth mindset books one year and fractured fairy tales the year following. Next March we would like to use nonfiction narrative books for this event. I have selected interesting books for the Kindergarten-Second Grade levels for our students to vote and find out the winning book for 2023.

This project will give us a head start on getting he books that we will need to successfully put on this event in our school.

Each week two books will go head to head and the students get to vote on which book will go onto the next round. Since all classrooms will be reading the books at the same time, we will need multiple copies of each book. This event has been a HUGE success the past two years and our students look forward to participating. The books are then donated to the library and each classroom will get a couple books to add to their classroom libraries.
