Maracas and Comic Books for Spanish Class

Help me give my students materials for two projects, creating paper mache maracas and creating their own comic books in Spanish!

My Project

The comic books "Soy Carlos" will give us a classroom set for my students to look through as we read them. This would be helpful for them to have their own visuals and flip through them as they are creating their own comic books. The blank story books are for them to be able to create their own comic books. As the students read through "Soy Carlos" We take time after each chapter to have the students create their own version of Soy Carlos. This allows them to see that they are learning so much in Spanish and that they will be able to have a published book about themselves.

The other two supplies are to be able to make maracas for Cinco de Mayo.

I am usually the one to supply all the supplies which gets pricey after a while. Having these supplies would take some of the financial part of the project off of me. I try to make numerous experiences for my students to experience other cultural moments and activities. Hence why I have them make maracas every year.
