Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love to teach teenagers about history and have done so for the last 10 years. My job is to convince them that people who died more than 100 years ago have an impact on their lives. They should care about the people and historical situations that come before them. Finally, my job is to inspire them to emulate those who came before them and to make a difference in the world.
In my project, I have added several maps, 2 globes, a few books, and propaganda posters to help me bring the historical places we learn about to life.
It is hard for them to conceptualize the impact geography can have on historical decisions without maps that accurately display the various locations and topographical features in the world.
