My Students

I have been so fortunate to teach curious passionate children for 16 years as a Science Cluster Teacher for grades K - 5. I teach over 500 students every week and with perseverance, lots of organization and a bit of creativity I try my best to deliver engaging Science curriculum and content. We have been blessed with a new building that houses our PreK - 8th grade students and have a beautiful Science Lab where I hope to not only deliver content but experiences as well! Our students come from diverse homes and cultures and should be taught with a rich diverse curriculum that NGSS provides.

It truly touches me to be a role model and inspiration for these children year after year watching them grow and become young adults and even when they move onto our middle school come back to visit me, help out in my class, take in the new thematic decor, feed our pets or the best is when

My Project

This highly specialized professional development event will enable me to help our students stay globally competitive in terms of innovation and invention. The teaching of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) must be a priority in today’s classrooms.

As the need for students to become stronger in STEM grows, so does the need for well qualified STEM teachers This forum offers me an opportunity to learn how to effectively integrate various instructional approaches into my teaching and learning environments.

Science educators from across the United States (and world) attend these content-rich conferences to learn classroom- tested, educator-developed teaching strategies; hear from nationally known experts who inspire attendees to engage their students with new enthusiasm; and try new products and software in the exhibit hall. While all areas of science and science practices will be addressed, particular attention will be focused on our new state science standards (which are aligned to the Next Generation Science Standards).
