it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students vary greatly in their ability levels. Many of them are English Language Learners. More than 90% of my students receive free or reduced-price lunch. My students attend a school in one of New York’s most diverse school districts. The teachers in our school are committed to fostering high expectations, promoting positive attitudes and to achieving equity and excellence in a safe and nurturing environment. But, like many schools, our budget has been cut and we are in need of many supplies to provide for our students.
My Project
These fine motor and social skills with these center activities will develop students strength and finger dexterity.
Building foundations in the early stages is the start for the right tomorrow.
Cardinality and counting is an important math foundation. They also need to build on their social skills to improve on foundation for all content areas.
These beads and sting, bolts and nuts are great ways to build students fine motor skills and make math counting fun and concrete. The dramatic play area accessories will help the students build their social skills with peers and teachers. The bins will gather our current math manipulatives in one easy organized place. The magnets will be to organize labels around the classroom. My English Language Learners need extra practice with these types of materials. Having a vareity of hands on, colorful math materials and dramatic play area toys makes learning math and socializing more engaging and adds a splash of fun.
