My Project

My students are still learning to adjust after spending so much time at home due to COVID-19. They are kindergartners and most have never experienced a school setting before. Learning with manipulatives is extremely effective for most of them. A fun activity, such as a big screw with colorful nuts to learn to count, is looked forward to. It's out of the norm of just counting cubes, and my students crave these different, but educational, experiences. The students that are still struggling with letters and numbers light up when they see these hands-on activities.
