Manipulatives & Organization Come to Life With Technology!
Help me give my students access to documents and manipulatives while in the virtual setting. The document camera will help with that and the laminator will help with behavior charts for in-person instruction.

My Students
Hello! I am a teacher at a Title I school, that has a unique program for kids with disabilities. A few years ago, I transferred from the self-contained classroom back into the general education classroom (at the same school) and noticed that the needs may be different, but my students still have many struggles to overcome in order to be successful! This is my first year back in the EC world, and I'm so excited!
My students have a wide variety of skills we are working on, one, in particular, is the ability to do their math facts and read fluently.
This is a group of students who are academically at several different levels, yet are all in the same classroom (which is typical of most classrooms, today). Meeting all of the needs of my students, while continuing on with the curriculum is hard for several of my kids. My students that need to be challenged are left to do more independent work, and my struggling students are provided with more one-on-one attention that they need to be successful! I am hoping to even the playing field and have the ability to meet more of my students' needs.
My Project
As an EC teacher in these times of distance learning, I have students coming to me in-person and virtually (online) at the same time. I have to meet with all of my students on a daily basis, and am able to do most things with them, however, I have run into the a few complications with this new transition to learning. One main thing that has hindered my students in-person learning, is the fact that I am unable to laminate things for my students. This is mainly due to budget cuts and accessibility. The laminator and velcro dots will provide behavior charts, re-usable emotional check-in pages, and other items that I can use to help my kids succeed at their goals.
The other complication I have found this year is having the capability to show my students the manipulatives when online teaching, rather than holding them up to the screen.
The document camera will help them to be successful because I will be able to show them the objects on a flat surface and they can see how the manipulatives are properly used. As my students are mostly visual learners, this will help my virtual students to be more successful in doing their work and making progress towards their goals.
Thank you for helping me mold the minds of my kiddos as we learn in a whole new way! I am very grateful for your help in empowering my kids to be as successful as they possibly can be!
