Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are predominantly Hispanic and African American. I have a classroom full of energetic six year olds who are ready to learn. No matter my students background we are one when we are in my classroom. My students are buzzing little first graders. They are in the beginning stages of writing and reading. I am here to facilitate active learning in an enriching environment. I hope to see them shine and grow as we continue to learn together. They will appreciate everything that is donated to our classroom.
My Project
I am a first year teacher who is the Queen B of my first grade Bee Hive. I am trying to make my Bee Hive a hands-on learning experience. I had somethings donated to my classroom. Unfornately, we do not have any math manipulatives. I am trying to make the best with what we have. I allow my students to use our washable markers to write on their desk as we complete problems. First grade is where I touch on time, adding, and subtracting. These manipulatives will help my students enjoy learning. I will be able to show them problems on the promeathen board, white board, and with manipulatives once we receive the materials. This option will be giving my students a copious amount of ways to learn the material. I am trying to fuffill all of my students learning styles. Thank you for helping us out. The First Grade Hive is appreciative.
