Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a new teacher in a SpEd classroom with unique learners and we need lots of manipulatives to help them better comprehend the material. I also need a few classroom essentials to make my classroom feel welcoming to my students as well as learning tools that are great for unique learners such as mine. I am also requesting social emotional resources since this has been an area where there has been a significant need in the last few years.

Children with special needs learn best when they have the opportunity to engage with hands on activities that support their learning.

Math manipulatives like ten frames assist students with addition and subtraction by allowing them to see the difference on the frame. While reading and writing manipulatives such as letter tiles allow children to easily rearrange them to make new words. We use different tools in our classrooms and often reuse our tools and worksheets, therefore making a laminating machine a great tool to have in the classroom, that allows us to continue to reuse different tools.
