Providing for the needs of special education students will certainly be one of my greatest challenges as a professional educator. Not only will these students demand more of my time and patience; so, too, will they require specialized instructional strategies in a structured environment that supports and enhances their learning potential.
The students in my class are very diverse in ethnicity, race, social class, and needs.
Curious, enthusiastic, and creative, my students are eager to immerse themselves in any kind of challenge. I want to give them the best education I can give and help them to be successful in their lives and in their future.
Our motto is if you are not willing to learn, no one can help you. If you are determined to learn no one can stop you!
My Project
These manipulatives are needed in our classroom to continue engaging my students with special needs in every lesson. My children need to continue to develop their fine motor skills and learn the alphabet, colors, shapes, and let their creativity flourish. With the use of these manipulatives, my students will reach these goals and be better prepared for the next grade level.
Letter recognition and letter formation are essential for my shining stars; these manipulatives will help every one of my students succeed in these tasks.
These coins and paper money will be used to help students learn basic money facts. Students will use the money in exchanging an item they wanted most as a rewards in our class store.
Students will also be allowed to bring their money packets home to engage in a variety of at-home projects as well. It is hoped that family engagement will assist in keeping this project fun.
I want my students to love school and be excited about learning. If they have these manipulatives in their tiny hands, I am certain my stars will continue to enter our classroom with excitement every single day. Please help me ensures having the resources needed for a healthy and safe classroom for my student.
