My students are amazing! Full of love and energy. I have 16 2nd graders in my class. I have some students with focus issues and so the bands I am requesting those bands for them. I would love to have some manipulatives for them to use during math because I believe they will help them practice and have fun with math!
We are a school that uses conscious discipline to teach children self-control and so our school is like a family.
I am excited to come to school every day because of my students and colleagues.
My Project
These manipulatives will be used by my students for their time and money unit. They will not just be used for my current students but will be an investment for any students I have in the future as well. These manipulatives will give my students hands-on materials to use in class and be able to touch and see clocks and money. These materials will give my students a better concept of counting money and the value of coins and dollars as well as how to read a clock and learning how to write the time. They will make it so I can create centers with the materials, and students will be able to work in groups to play math games with the materials.
