Manipulative & Supply Ready

My students need many manipulatives that somehow disappeared when I had to change classrooms. Now I find myself constantly having to ask other teachers to borrow their manipulatives and supplies to complete my lessons.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

First of all we would like to say thank you for looking at our project. My students are active five year old ready to get their hands on learning. They yearn for fast paced, hands on learning experience. Hands-on is the way to go! My students will meet and surpass the common core state standards, and will step up to 1st grade.

My students consist of both low income, general and special education, kindergartners.

They are like little sponges that are ready to absorb what you expose them to.

My Project

I recently had to change classroom. I am now noticing that it seems as if all my bins with supplies and manipulative didn't make it. My students need these requested Hands-On Math Teaching Kits to develop their math concepts using a hands-on and engaging math tool. My goal this year is to help my students master their math facts and concepts and help them start enjoying and understanding math.

Worksheets can only teach so much and I want my students to be engaged and learn the best way possible for them.

Having tangible materials will help not only my tactile learners, but all my students develop a better understanding of math. Children learn better when they are engaged and enjoy what they are doing. With the help of these tools, my students will learn to more fluent and understanding of 1st grade math.
