My Students

My virtual classroom is a kindergarten classroom that has curious, fun, energetic students. We support students with varying abilities and exceptionalities. We adapt the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the students and to increase their opportunities to maintain, generalize, and transfer both academic and social skills to other environments.

My students are active learners that are not accustom to completing their work online.

They need materials and activities they can manipulate to help them stay actively engaged in learning.

My Project

It is my goal to find materials and activities to help motivate and engage my students to participate in distance learning activities and to increase interactions with each other. The students in my classroom need many direct teaching opportunities. The students in my classroom have varying levels of needs and are able to participate in distance learning with appropriate supports and modifications.

All students have unique mental, physical, social emotional, and educational needs.

Students need opportunities throughout distance learning to connect face to face with their peers and teachers and to successfully participate in classroom activities. Using manipulatives will help students focus, control their body, and support their independence throughout the school day to increase their academic achievement as we navigate the new normal of distance learning.
