I teach in a Title I school where students come to us from many different backgrounds. These students are learning
responsibilities and developing a love to learn.
I have a class of 14 eager to learn first graders.
Though these times may be different, our learning will not stop. I teach the virtual first grade students for our school. We value our time together and want to make the most of it through the virtual assignments and lessons.
My Project
The touch and read word set and sentence building kits will be used at center times to reinforce the skills taught in class. Through manipulative based learning, students will be able to practice skills without realizing it. As their knowledge and skills grow, so do the skills they practice. The materials will be used to differentiate the many different instructional pathways present in a classroom. Each student will be able to use the materials successfully to deepen their understanding and abilities. The more a student successfully independently practices a skill, the more their confidence grows.
