This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

The Mandala Art project will help support my 6th graders ability to be mindful. Students will be able to use oil pastel colors to create their mandalas. We will use the text book to supplement our language arts lessons. The book from Brown Girl Dreaming will support our bilingual students. They will be able to use the Spanish translation to complete daily tasks. In addition students will use the resouces on a daily basis to complete assignments. The materials for this project will greatly benefit our 6th grade students by increasing their knowledge.
