Help me give my students the opportunities to give our class pets the best life we can give them!
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Valliere's classroom raised $257

My Students
I teach at a lower-income school where the children enjoy learning and are happy with the opportunities that they are given. We have 200 children on my roster for 8th-grade science. The children are part of a new program that we are going to try for the second time. The children get to learn through exploration. The STEM program encourages the children to learn the way they learn and that is okay to do so. Thank you. They are students are eager to learn if given the opportunity.
My Project
The zoomed hood light bulbs, and pellets will allow my students to properly care for the class pets that we have in the classroom here. They a desert tortoise and a bearded dragon. The materials will enhance not only the lives of the animals but also the learning in the classroom.
The zoomed terrarium hood and the light bulb will provide the correct amount of UV rays for the animals in the classroom.
This also teaches the students about the amount of sunlight each of the animals actually needs in real life. These will enrich the lives of the animals too because they are getting the UV rays that they are missing for living outside all the time. The timer provides a steady schedule for the lights since we will be unable to keep on a track with class going on. The alfalfa pellets will allow us to provide flooring for the animals that aren't going to cause any problems for their tummies when digesting food.
