My Project

The school in which I work is for students who have developmental challenges. My job is to offer them exposure and opportunity to the arts.

My students have a variety of needs.

The population of my classrooms range from low functioning autism classes to students who are bound to wheelchairs and feeding tubes. Many of my autistic students need to sit in bean bags to help regulate their energy, but sadly the ones I have are old and need more filling. Most of my wheelchair kids learn from their iPad, so the screen mirror would help them to better see the art demonstration. All of my students benefit from fidget toys which helps regulate their emotions and allow for better focus on the lesson.
