Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Going to a school with very limited resources can be extremely difficult.

My students are constantly faced with broken equipment, incomplete equipment, or having to get by with no up-to-date equipment at all.

I work at a public charter middle school in Northern California. The students are very hard working and energetic. They are enthusiastic about learning but can be deterred when they feel the tools they have to use are inadequate.

My Project

These resources will change the entire school year. Currently in my classroom we have a document camera but no cart and no projector. The potential for learning and the potential to practice presentation skills are huge but a few key components are missing. A presentation cart would be the perfect work/storage space for these items. An LCD projector would allow students to present their work using the document camera as well as allow me to make my lessons more interesting. The books and games would be used by the entire school, particularly during rainy day lunchtimes.

This project is very important to help us get the school year off to a good start.

I know my students would greatly appreciate a fully equipped classroom with all new and working technology.
