Making STEM Projects into STEAM Projects

My Project

The 6th grade students in my middle school LOVE exhibiting their creativity in their work! To make the learning in my science classroom more engaging I try to incorporate as many ways for students to demonstrate their learning as possible, and one of those is through creating visual projects like posters about habitats, travel brochures to planets, and drawing what they see under the microscopes.

By funding this project, my students will have the resources (crayons, colored pencils, etc.) to make these fun projects possible and bring their learning and their interests together!

My students are a diverse group of kids from lots of different backgrounds and for many access to basic materials and school supplies is not available. Having classroom sets will ensure that all students are able to complete our projects without having to worry about what materials come from. They will be used daily for our interactive science notebooks and for larger demonstrations of learning as well.
