Making Space for Music: Organizing Our Rehearsal Room

Help me give my students clear bins, zipper pouches, binder rings, and a rolling cart to keep our rehearsal room organized, efficient, and student-centered.

My Project

As a new orchestra teacher setting up a fresh rehearsal space, I want to create a system that helps my students stay organized, independent, and ready to learn. This project is all about building routines and structures that support success in the music room.

The materials I'm requesting will give each student a clear, labeled bin to store their music books and folders.

Zipper pouches will hold small essentials like rosin, rags, and pencils, and binder rings will attach them directly to each student's music stand—keeping everything right at their fingertips. A rolling cart will serve as a drop-off station for classwork and a place to house shared materials.

An organized classroom doesn’t just look good—it helps students focus, take ownership of their learning, and feel a sense of calm in a busy school day.

With these tools, we'll spend less time managing clutter and more time playing, learning, and growing together as musicians.
