My Project

Many of my students are struggling to make friends and communicate with each other. I plan to use games and art to get my students talking to each other and expressing themselves in new ways. Students learn best when they feel comfortable and seen in their environment, so it's important for then to feel safe around their peers. Many students are also visual learners and process information more effectively if they are able to draw it out. Several of my students also have mental health needs that can be helped by using fidget toys. I also want to make sure that my students do not go hungry. If your basic needs aren't met, how can you ever expect to focus?
