Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I have 10 amazing students! They are energetic, enthusiastic and motivated learners! My students have a unique variety of abilities, interests, and learning styles. In preschool, it is developmentally appropriate to have lessons where they have opportunities to interact hands-on and develop their own creativity. Research shows that children who are mentally healthy tend to be more motivated, positive, and eager participants in their learning.
I want to boost early literacy and social-emotional skills.
The storytelling kit and and books will help my students learn kindness and self-awareness.These skills will help them to develop relationships,r ecognize, label and manage their own emotions and develop empathy for others.
The match up puzzles will help them foster healthy relationships and teach them to make responsible decisions. I believe that these puzzles will really hone in on social-emotional learning because one side depicts an everyday scenario that students may encounter and the competing piece shows a positive outcome. Thank you in advance for helping me Make Social-Emotional Learning fun.
