This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My second grade students have worked so hard this school year to overcome a barrage of obstacles this year. Having lived through the pandemic in the last eighteen months and not having consistency within the school year has taken a toll on their confidence and morale. They are slowly getting back to feeling the structure and comfort they normally have during the year. Our last writing project in the school year is on animals.

The students do all the research and make written paragraphs about their animals on a trifold that includes pictures.

They also make a clay figure to place in front of the trifold.

The ink that I am requesting is for the written paragraphs and labels for their trifold. This allows the students to feel more confident and proud of how professional their projects look. This also allows for a feeling of accomplishment when they present their projects to the school. This gift would be the icing on the cake of this year!
