Making Science Sensational

My students need 1 fossil set, 1 magnet kit, 1 rocks and soil activity kit, 1 bingo set, 1 set of feel and discover science bags, 1 learn to recycle kit, and 3 sets of various science photo cards.

This project is fully funded

I am a third grade teacher at a Title 1 school were funds a limited for purchasing supplies. Science is an area where our students need materials to gain a more hands-on experience.

By providing my students with these materials, they will have an opportunity to see these studies more in depth.

In my classroom, my students are learning about fossils, heat, energy, and magnets. I have asked a fossil set to give my students a look at various types of fossils. When students begin to discuss heat and its properties, the heat cards will give them a visual about how heat occurs. The bingo set will give my students assistance with the science related terminology and pictures. At my school, we are working with students about the importance of recycling so I asked for a kit that will share the importance of recycling to benefit our planet.

For the donors of this project, your donations will make science sensational for my third grade students. They will get to place the hands and eyes on the actual scientific ideas that are being discussed in class. You all will make it possible for students who did not really care for science to become more involved in the learning process.
