Making Science Real

My students need these science resources to help them make deeper connections. The water cycle model will help them to actually see how the water cycle works. The fossil samples will also help students make connections.

My Students

My students rock! If you were to walk into my classroom the kids may not stand out to you. You might think that you are looking at 24 ordinary 4th graders. However, I get the chance every year to really see them for who they are, and help them grow and change. These 24 students come from different backgrounds, cultures, and income levels. The are all so different and unique. My job is to help them learn, and respect each other's differences.

My Project

These science resources will deepen my students' understanding of the content in ways that I am not able to. The water cycle model will allow students to visually see the water cycle in action. In addition, the fossil samples will allow my students to have actual fossils in their hands.

These resources will help all of my students to make science real because they will be able to see and feel what we are discussing.

My students come from different levels and backgrounds which often makes it hard to reach every student at each level. However, I believe these resources can help make that possible.
