My students are part of a K-12 school where over 40 percent of the students receive free or reduced-price lunches.

Our school excels at testing, despite the obstacles the students have overcome. We are rated as one of the top schools in the state on standardized tests, with our third graders performing far above the other students in the state.

Our students are proud of their achievements and ready to learn and lead as they move into the future.

My Project

The exercise and play students get at recess are a wonderful way to build team spirit and even improve academics! Our class would like some new playground equipment, so each student can participate in an activity while at recess.

Sports balls and jumping ropes will keep our kids moving and healthy, and new jerseys will allow them to work as teams!

The best thing about making the most of our recess time is that studies have shown outdoor exercise helps students focus in the classroom. Additionally, working together as teams and playing together continues to build a team spirit within the classroom.
