This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Douglas County School District is focused on the science of reading. As a reading specialist in this district, my goal is to provide decodable texts for the students at our elementary school. These books are systematic and will support students in kindergarten through 5th grade. Phonics games will also support students and align with the science of reading.

My goal is to increase reading skills and create strong, well-rounded readers.

These decodable texts and phonics games will support students on their paths of reading. This will help create successful readers.
