Making Paper Out Of Trash

My students need these supplies so that we can learn the art of papermaking while recycling some of our schools paper waste.

My Students

Our smart and engaging students are interested in expanded opportunities.

They want to explore their ideas with hands on projects that allow them to develop and solve problems in a way that reflects the nature of such context in real life.

Our students only see possibilities in the world despite the many obstacles they face outside the classroom. Our students are bright, engaging, clever and believe in themselves. As their teacher I am committed to providing them with unlimited opportunities.

My Project

These paper making supplies already have a home and a planned use, we just need your help in acquiring them!

Did you know that you can make new paper from discarded used sheets or even the grass you grow on your font lawn?

Collaborating in small groups, students will collect paper from all of our classrooms to recycle in Studio. We will learn the process of beating the used paper back into a pulp and later into new sheets with the use of these supplies. Students will collect plant fibers to use in the paper making process as well. With these supplies provided by you, we will be able to make specialty paper such as stationary and envelopes.

Incorporating these supplies into our Studio class will provide our artist with a hands on experience in making.
