Making our Classroom a Home

My students need these items for the classroom to help our room feel more opening and secure for them. To help further their learning, I am requesting seating options and headphones!

My Students

My students come from a wide range of both cultural and economic backgrounds, but when we enter our classroom we all come together and become mathematicians, scientists, athletes, authors, historians and scholars. Overall we become a family helping each other be the best we can be at anything and everything we choose.

The wonder and enthusiasm my students have for life and learning inspires me each day to do my very best to provide them with an uplifting and welcoming learning environment.

As a first year teacher, each day with my students is a new adventure and full of discovery and unforgettable memories.

My Project

The materials I have requested will help my students feel more comfortable and excited to learn in our classroom. The floor pillows will work well for when my students want to work together sitting around the room. It will create a more comfortable work space for them! The bench will serve as a wonderful place for partner work as well as reading a great book.

My students thrive when working together and helping each other learn and these tools will truly support them in that way.

The bench will not only allow them to support each other, but will also create lovers of reading since it will be so easy for them to get lost in their books on the cozy bench.

The headphones will be a great tool to use with our class iPads. It will create many possibilities for students to be read to and watch educational videos.
