Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

This will be my second year​ teaching at a low income/high poverty school. I teach second grade. As heartbreaking as it is, most of my students are faced with many challenges in and out of the classroom.

All of my students deserve to be healthy and happy.

Though I cannot control what happens outside of the classroom, I can certainly control what happens inside. My students come to class feeling loved, supported, and engaged. I have a wide range of students in my classroom. Some students are highly intelligent and some have developmental delays. This does not stop me from providing them the education that they need.

I love all of my students, and they each bring joy to my life as a teacher.

I look forward to building a positive classroom during my second year of teaching.

My Project

Our district has decided to continue virtual learning. Though our school has done a great job of providing teachers with materials, they aren't as engaging as the activates created by teacher on Teachers Pay Teachers.

Having engaging and fun lessons gives my online students a sense of normalcy.

Teachers Pay Teachers is an incredible website with access to so many digital resources that can be easily linked to my Google Classroom. My students have become little tech geniuses and enjoy learning online now.

I am also requesting some schools supplies to help keep organed during our virtual learning experience.
