Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are exceptional students who work very hard to be successful. Most students are English Second Language learners and are striving hard to make their families proud.
Many of my students are immigrants new to America trying to learn a new language and culture, along with their math, science, writing, and reading.
We are a Title I school working hard to make our budget stretch to meet the needs of each student. Seeing my students succeed is the reason I teach!
My Project
As this school year will be like never before, I feel like I am a first year teacher starting from scratch. All my materials are having to be reinvented to make lessons adaptable for online learning.
The gift cards for TeacherpayTeachers would allow me the opportunity to purchase new digital material to make student's lessons and activities more interactive and interesting.
This website offers lessons created by real teachers for teachers. The millennial generation are so much more proficient at technology and creating digital material to use in an online classroom. I am learning a lot through this experience, but having help from experts would be greatly appreciated.
