My students need recorders, batteries, and ribbons to make music and move.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Mason's classroom raised $166

My Students
My students come to music ready to make music and move! I want to make sure that each student has a great experience in my class.
I teach Pre-K through third grade music in a small Title One school district in New Jersey.
My students are a wonderfully diverse group, in culture, in abilities, and in interests. My students love learning, and I love teaching them! They come to music class with open minds- ready to learn, and ready to have fun!
My Project
Recorder instruction is an exciting part of the third grade curriculum, and most students purchase their instrument to keep. There are some students who are unable to do this, and I want to make sure that they do not feel burdened or embarrassed. Providing them with a new recorder will give them the opportunity to have their very own instrument to make music with.
I have a few small piano keyboards with headphones. I am asking for some batteries to use in the keyboards. I intend to make a keyboard center in the back of the room to allow some of my students, who sometimes get overwhelmed when there is too much noise, to still have an opportunity to make music and explore instruments.
Last, I am asking for some streamers. Put a manipulative in a student's hand, and they lose all inhibition! These streamer ribbons will be used for creative movement with all of my students.
With the recorders, batteries, and streamers, I will be able to reach each of my students and help them to make music in the best environment for them.
Your donations will make a big difference in my classroom.
