Making Music T-Shirts!

Help me give my students the materials to make specialized shirts for all of my vocal and instrumental music students.

My Students

My 4th and 5th grade choir, band and orchestra have approximately 50 students who participate in our weekly rehearsals and classes throughout the year. We present 2 concerts a year at school and several more off-campus, and these students really love expressing themselves musically!

This school is a 100% poverty school where children struggle to have school supplies and properly fitting clothes for school every day.

We do not have a functioning PTO/PTA group at our school, so it up to the administration to find funds for co-curricular activities such as vocal and instrumental music. Funds from sources such as DonorsChoose.org help to fill in the funding gaps.

My Project

This project will enable all of my music students to have specialized t-shirts to wear for performances both on and off campus. Students from my Title I school cannot always afford specific clothes for concerts, so this will allow them not to have to worry about how to afford outfits for the concerts.

These t-shirts will help my students to feel like they are a part of something special when they perform.

I will use these materials to make iron-on transfer designs on t-shirts for the students. All children deserve to have meaningful musical experiences in elementary school, and these shirts will add to that feeling for my students.
